HSC Conference 2019

Hannah Rosenthal

Hannah Rosenthal, a mother of two teens (18,14), was born in Israel, and came as an adult to the states. She was unschooling during her high school years (without her parents agreement).
After teaching a special photography class at different LAUSD schools, she figured that with all her appreciation for the need for public education, she won’t make her kids go to a traditional school. At first she had her kids at a progressive school, and once it shut down, the family embark on a year of travels abroad. filling a PSA and finding a great park day with a progressive secular community meant that her kids found a tribe and now for 7 years she has been a happy
homeschooling mom. In the past as a career Hannah was a journalist, an editor, a photography teacher, and a parent educator. Currently she runs a family engineering business and knits.
