It’s a math listicle...and a homeschooling workshop in one! Join us for some fun math suggestions for success including: Watch Your Language (&#%!@?!), You Aren’t a Robot (so stop acting like one), Be Inefficient, Math Isn’t a Religion (so lose your faith), and Make Mistakes! If we have time we’ll watch some cat videos. And maybe some Q&A.

"But what about math..!?!?!"It's one of the most common questions when parents are exploring self-direction.Don't they need math?What if they want to go back to "regular" school and they are behind?Will they be able to catch up? I'm not good at math. How can I support them?Parent anxiety over math is incredibly common, and we are passing it on to our children. It's time for a re-set. This workshop is part math therapy — to re-frame our relationship with math, and part skill building — to help us help others develop a healthy relationship with math. Beyond finding practical solutions to learning math, how can we start to see math as an art and a language, which can help us better understand and see the beauty in our world? And how can we share that lens with others?

Deconstruct the times tables and rediscover them through imaginative hands-on activities which, utilizing their rhythmical nature, make them a living, breathing part of the children’s learning experience.
