Teen Workshop: Managing Money
It is important for our teens to learn about money management before they go out on their own and have to handle expenses, are offered credit cards, and so on. Rob will show them how to get started early to make their money work for them and get set up for a financially secure future! Most people wait too long and don’t know what to do and where to begin. I'll help your teens get the knowledge that we didn’t have so they can make the right decisions along the way.

A Disorganized Unschoolers Guide to Brag-worthy Homeschool Recordkeeping
Are you unorganized, organized, or somewhere along that spectrum? Perhaps you are an unschooler who doesn't know what is going to happen day to day (like me), someone who plans most hours of each day, or somewhere in between. This presentation and workshop will help you keep track of your K-12 homeschool life so you can understand where your child(ren)'s learning journey has taken them and plan for their future learning. As a bonus, you will be able to easily create a record of learning for your student(s) as well as craft a transcript whenever you need it.

I'll first introduce how I approached learning and recordkeeping with my own kids under a PSA and an umbrella/homeschool charter school. Collectively, we will discuss how we are homeschooling our kids and any recordkeeping challenges we are encountering. Finally, I'll share the method I use in my homeschool, how it applies across elementary, middle, and high school (including community college attendance), and together we will create recordkeeping (and organizational) resources we can take home and immediately put to use.

You will need a laptop or smartphone as well as a lined or gridded notebook and something to write with such as a pen or pencil. If you like to doodle or want to add color, don't forget some markers or colored pencils. Come ready to get ready for academic year 2019-2020!

Homeschooling Through Difficult Times
Life is not always a straight road. When your plan just does not seem to work out and life seems to deal you one conflict after another, homeschooling can seem impossible. You may even question whether or not you can continue. Are you struggling with your health or the health of one of your children? Are you struggling with your finances or the challenge of trying to homeschool on one income? Perhaps you have no family to support you or even give you a much needed break. The journey can often feel impossible but you are still passionate about your choice to give this opportunity to your child. Come get motivated!

Join in this roundtable discussion whether you are a veteran and can share your own experiences or whether you are a rookie and need support and maybe a few new ideas. We are all in this together.
Come and get inspired to carry on!

Financial Planning
With a proper strategy and management, you can make your money start working for you now to help you secure a financially secure future! Many people wait too long to start saving for retirement and don’t know the best way to do that. Most of us plan to budget our money but never do. Insurance and taxes and 401k plans and IRAs and knowing how and where to invest our hard-earned money can be confusing.  And then there's life insurance - do you need it? "Life insurance is like a parachute. If you don't have it the first time you need it, there is no second chance. You can learn about these topics and get your money questions answered! Rob works with many unschooling families and understands their unique circumstances. He spent 10 years as a Certified Insurance Counselor and Partner at Ferguson Financial Group, and now he’s an Investment Advisor for Stonebrook Capital Management, Inc.
