Are you unorganized, organized, or somewhere along that spectrum? Perhaps you are an unschooler who doesn't know what is going to happen day to day (like me), someone who plans most hours of each day, or somewhere in between. This presentation and workshop will help you keep track of your K-12 homeschool life so you can understand where your child(ren)'s learning journey has taken them and plan for their future learning. As a bonus, you will be able to easily create a record of learning for your student(s) as well as craft a transcript whenever you need it.
I'll first introduce how I approached learning and recordkeeping with my own kids under a PSA and an umbrella/homeschool charter school. Collectively, we will discuss how we are homeschooling our kids and any recordkeeping challenges we are encountering. Finally, I'll share the method I use in my homeschool, how it applies across elementary, middle, and high school (including community college attendance), and together we will create recordkeeping (and organizational) resources we can take home and immediately put to use.
You will need a laptop or smartphone as well as a lined or gridded notebook and something to write with such as a pen or pencil. If you like to doodle or want to add color, don't forget some markers or colored pencils. Come ready to get ready for academic year 2019-2020!
